Our call
At the heart of everything we do is a call to reach people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teach the uncompromised Word of God, strengthen families, make disciples, raise leaders, and build the local church.
For more than two decades, Jimmy and Angela Powers have served the Body of Christ through pastoral ministry, church planting, missions, Bible training, leadership development, and the work of Powers World Ministries around the world.
Throughout their years of ministry, they have founded and helped establish local churches, raised and equipped leaders, and invested in pastors and ministries in the United States and around the world. Today, they continue to strengthen the local church by pouring into pastors, leaders, spiritual sons and daughters, and congregations across nations.
WE BELIEVE IN THE LOCAL CHURCH
The local church has always been important to us.
We believe God designed the local church to be a place where believers are planted, discipled, strengthened, equipped, and connected in spiritual community. It is where families grow together, gifts are developed, relationships are built, and believers learn to serve and fulfill their part in the Body of Christ.
Our heart has never been simply to gather crowds or hold meetings. We want to build people who build families, churches, communities, and generations.
We believe strong believers build strong families, strong families strengthen local churches, and strong local churches impact cities and nations.
THE HEART OF FAMILY LIFE
Family Life was born from a mandate God placed in the hearts of Jimmy and Angela Powers: to build strong people, strong families, and strong local churches through the Word of God.
What began through pastoral ministry and the planting of local churches has grown into a vision that reaches beyond one congregation, one city, or even one nation.
Over the years, the Family Life vision has taken root in different places through churches, pastors, leaders, and spiritual sons and daughters who carry the same heart for the Word, discipleship, family, and the local church.
While the expression of the vision may look different from place to place and from season to season, the assignment remains the same:
Reach people.
Build faith.
Strengthen families.
Make disciples.
Raise leaders.
Build the local church.
Impact generations.
We believe every believer should be planted in a healthy, Bible-believing local church where they can grow in the Word, serve, build relationships, and fulfill their God-given purpose.
As God continues to open doors and expand the vision, our heart remains committed to strengthening pastors, establishing leaders, building healthy local churches, and preparing families to fulfill their part in the harvest.
The local church isn’t something we have moved on from. It is part of who we are and will always be at the heart of what we do.
